EFT-Style Tapping Worksheet
A present-focused self-regulation exercise for noticing difficult feelings without needing to revisit their cause.
This worksheet presents tapping as an optional coping practice. It is not a trauma-processing exercise and does not require memory retrieval, exposure, or detailed discussion of what happened.
Safety Notice
Tapping does not work the same way for everyone. Use only gentle, comfortable touch and remain oriented to your surroundings.
Do not use this exercise to force yourself to remember, describe, reinterpret, or process a traumatic experience.
If your distress increases, you become less oriented to the present, or the exercise feels uncomfortable, stop and return to a grounding or stabilization practice that feels appropriate.
You may stop at any point. You do not need to complete every step.
Before I Begin
Keep the focus here: sensations, emotions, tension, thoughts, or immediate needs. You do not need to identify why the feeling is present.
